Chick Herman is a professional trombonist and composer. He currently plays with the Atlanta Wind Symphony and various trombone ensembles. He has been a shofar soloist for 30 years. Chick has been recognized with an Outstanding Teacher Award for his efforts on his first job out of college, a Master Teacher designation from his second, and citation in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers from his third teaching position. He has had elementary band compositions published and two collections of brass trios and trombone quartets (Warwick Music). His two books of poetry have also received positive reviews
