Michele Girardi

Michele Girardi is an Italian composer and arranger. After obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Trombone from the G. Verdi Conservatory of Turin (Italy) in 2006, he focused on the study of Ancient Music in Toulouse (France).


In 2009, Michele got a Master’s Degree at the G. Verdi Conservatory of Turin and a second one at the Haute École de Musique of Geneva (Switzerland) in 2013, graduating in Composition and Orchestration for Wind Orchestra. Later that year, the General Director of Neojiba - a priority programme promoted by the Government of the State of Bahia (Brazil) - invited him to join the project as Trombone Teacher and Pedagogical Coordinator.


Michele is now Research Director PhD for Music Education at the Federal University of Bahia and a member of the Music Pedagogy Proposal CDG’s Research Group since 2016. Moreover, he performs as a Trombone Soloist for the Bahia Symphony Orchestra (OSBA). Michele also boasts a significant experience in Arts and Music Education that includes Training of Music Teachers, Music Composition, Musical Interpretation, Collective Music Practice and Teaching Instrument - Trombone.
