Simon Cunliffe

Simon Cunliffe began singing and then playing trumpet and later the piano. Studied music at Dartington College of Arts (in association with the University of Plymouth, England), majoring in composition and graduating in 1994 with honours.

Several commercial releases followed, including discs of licensed production music, resulting in membership of the PRS in 1999. Other areas of involvement have included local community arts projects, choral music, orchestras, wind and brass ensembles, jazz ensembles, and a variety of pop bands.

A number of compositions have been made available via downloading and printed editions. “I always aim to write pieces which hopefully help towards developing general musicianship, and above all fun and exciting to play.”

More recently saw the release of his debut CD “The Secret Woodland”, a disc of relaxation music.
