pBones in SEND Music

Children in a special school in Lancashire have discovered a love of performing through playing pBones!

Ridgewood Community High School in Burnley, Lancashire is a special secondary school with a proud artistic ethos. They have been using pBones as part of their music curriculum and in a brass club for a few years. Over the last year, the brass band has developed to become part of the Lancashire SEND Street Band.

When the Street Band was asked to be involved in the Big Hub Show, WMG offered extra pBones to enable them to take part, which was put to use straight away in workshops with other schools in the area.

The show was a huge success – the Street Band shared the stage with an orchestra and choir, performing in a packed hall. The Band had their moment when they delivered a rendition of ‘When The Saints Go Marching In’; pBones of every colour were accompanied by a mass of drums.

They got the biggest cheer of the night!

“Thank you pBone Music for helping us to be a part of this!”
