pBone Music and Yamaha Music UK have announced the music industry’s first Progressive Instrument Partnership for Music Hubs, Schools, and Educators. This unique collaboration sees two leading providers of musical instruments in the UK coming together with bespoke initiatives to support children and educators, from beginner through to intermediate and advanced levels.

Progress Instrument Pathways for HLOs

The first initiative - Progressive Instrument Pathways - provides defined progression routes for wind and brass instruments. This gives hubs exclusive access to the right instruments at the right time to support pupils’ musical progression and engage all children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Progressive Instrument Pathways focuses on high-quality, sustainable, and long-lasting musical instruments, ranging from whole class through to student and intermediate products for one-to-one or small-group settings. The scheme will deliver the best value-for-money solutions in the long term, such as taking children on a brass journey from pBuzz to pBone, before progressing onto premium student instruments from Yamaha, complete with resources and unrivalled after-sales support.

Accessible Instruments for All

The second initiative - Accessible Instruments for All – aims to demystify the world of music technology for SEND students. It will provide a range of accessible, approachable, and easy-to-setup digital and hybrid products that ensure teachers can provide musical solutions for all SEND students.

Accessible Instruments for All features products like the YDS-120 Yamaha Digital Saxophone, programmable for one-hand playing, or the FGDP-30 Finger Drum Pad which includes a voice assistant for blind or visually impaired players. These innovative tools can allow SEND students to effectively participate in whole class settings alongside their classmates.
