After many months of home-school and online learning, we want to help and support teachers in providing a safe, vibrant and active learning environment back in school – no screens needed! Our pInstruments are safe to use in schools and completely sustainable too. Zero carbon emissions but infinite fun; and absolutely no prior brass experience required!
Warwick Music Group has a long and successful track record of supporting primary schools to make music accessible and fun. Below are just a few of the successful projects we’ve run in primary schools.
The award winning pBuzz is aimed at Key Stage 1 students and is the easiest way for children to start their brass journey.
Year 2 pupils at Annie Lennard Primary School had just four sessions learning pBuzz before performing to parents.
"Music makes me happy and I like playing music with my friends."
We gave a set of pBone minis to a class of seven and eight year-olds for ten weeks. This short film looks from the class teacher's perspective at the benefits of the pBone mini project, ran at Wheelock Primary school in partnership with Music for Life.
Pear Tree Primary School held a Brass event for the whole school where each class got to play on a pBone, pTrumpet and pBuzz. At the end of the day the whole school played a joint piece on all the pInstruments. 5 hours, 80 pBuzzes, 65 pBone Minis, 35 pTrumpets and 70 pBones later – the whole of Pear Tree Primary were on track with their brass-playing journey. "Music is important to me because it makes me feel good.”
Warwick Music Group have a dedicated team of Education Professionals who have been invited to schools to run successful projects and are looking forward to being able to do so again once the Covid pandemic restrictions allow.
If you’d like to fill your assembly hall and classrooms with the joy of music in the summer term and beyond, please reach out and let us know how we can help. It might be useful for those OfSted Music Deep Dives as well!
