Peter W Stones (b. 1988) is a composer and trombonist from the Midlands. After studying at Birmingham Conservatoire he established himself as a performer of avant-garde music and jazz in the region, performing in local bands & solo recitals focused on contemporary brass music.
He continued this when he moved to Stockholm, Sweden having the opportunity to work with Nordic jazz musicians and contemporary composers. After returning to the UK Peter continues to compose for contemporary ensembles including writing the Pathway Suite (2020) and One Small Flight in a Hot Air Balloon (2021).
