Colin Radford LRSM BA Hons Biography

Colin is originally from Wellingborough, and as a teenager played clarinet with the Kettering Symphony Orchestra, as well as several classic and be-bop jazz groups in England and Europe. Colin joined the Grenadier Guards Band, a military band which is based in London, when he was 18 years old, and while he was in the service he also performed clarinet solos for the BBC and international radio and television, as well as receiving clarinet recital acclaim. In addition, Colin worked with several London orchestras and did some session work during that time. After leaving London for Cambridgeshire in 2000, Colin took a music degree and then passed the teacher training course for secondary education. Recently Colin has been writing music for wood-wind, the compositions being drawn from a large range of influences including classical, jazz and 'world' music. Colin lives in Northamptonshire, and is married with one daughter.
