Taylor Donaldson is a trombonist, composer and arranger living in Montreal, Canada. He holds a Masters degree in Music (Trombone Performance) from The Schulich School of Music at McGill University in Montreal. Taylor maintains an active performing schedule and writes for a variety of ensembles including big band, trombone ensemble, classical chamber ensemble, jazz and rock bands, symphonic brass choir and symphony orchestra.

In 2008, Taylor composed a five movement suite for Highland Bagpipe and symphony orchestra and premiered it with the Quinte Symphony Orchestra in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. The following year, his orchestral arrangement for the Canadian indie rock band The Gertrudes was released on their 2009 record "Dawn Time Riot". Taylor has also written big band arrangements for concerts in Toronto and Montreal with guest artists Tim Hagans and Quinsin Nachof, and Joe Lovano.
